North Essex Counselling Can Help
My name is Claire Bentley and I hold a diploma in 'Integrative Counselling' which is a BACP accredited qualification.
I have experience in both short and long term therapy with adults and couples. I have also worked with teenagers at a local secondary school and with primary school children offering therapeutic play. Whilst for the most part, my sessions have been about talking things through with my clients, in order to assist with times where a client may find talking difficult in the initial stages, I have attended courses in therapeutic play, creative therapies for adults, sand tray, and art therapy as well as a recent seminar on bereavement.
I believe that everyone has the capacity to change and that my role as a counsellor is to enable my clients to explore and discover ways of moving forward.
I am a member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists), which means I work within a strict Code of Practise and Ethical framework. I attend regular supervision and am committed to continued professional development through courses, seminars and peer supervision.
