North Essex Counselling

My name is Claire Bentley and I hold a diploma in 'Integrative Counselling' which is a BACP accredited qualification.

I have experience in short and long term therapy with adults and also work with teenagers at a local secondary school. I have also started working with primary school children in the school setting offering play therapy to assist them to work through their difficulties. I have attended two courses in play therapy, sand tray therapy and other creative therapies.

I believe that everyone has the capacity to change and that my task as a counsellor is to enable my clients to explore and discover ways of moving forward.

I am a member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists), which means I work within a strict Code of Practise and Ethical framework. I attend regular supervision and am committed to continued professional development through courses, seminars and peer supervision.
